How We Prepare Your Order

At AmigaKit, many of the products we sell are prepared in-house by our team before they are dispatched. Depending on the item, this may include picking parts from stock, hand soldering boards in-house, crimping cables, fitting upgrades, configuring firmware or software and carrying out quality checks before carefully packing the order and then sending it on its way.

Many of the products we sell are our own brands, and every week we assemble many different product lines for customers around the world. For many specialist Amiga products, this extra preparation helps ensure your order arrives correctly assembled, tested, and ready to use.

Many of our specialist products are hand soldered/assembled, configured and tested in-house before dispatch.

Why Some Orders Take Longer

Some orders can be dispatched quickly, especially when they contain stocked items only. Other orders may take longer if they include products that need additional in-house preparation.

  • Hand soldering of boards
  • Assembly of upgrades and accessories
  • Cable preparation or crimping
  • Firmware configuration
  • Quality testing
  • Additional parts allocation

Please Note

Some items are marked on our website as requiring assembly before dispatch.

These products are partially or fully assembled by our technician to our exacting standards and then put through our tried and tested quality assurance process.

We may also need to flash firmware or configure an item before sending, especially where options have been selected by you.

This process is important to help ensure your order arrives correctly assembled, checked, and ready to use.
