A1200 8MB Flash Fast RAM Memory Expansion (40MHz FPU Option)
 
This unique expansion card for your Commodore Amiga 1200 contains useful features not seen on any competitor products.
 
Primarily this high quality, great value memory expansion increases your Commodore-Amiga 1200 computer's memory. Extra memory is essential for many games which require more Fast RAM to work. This expansion is ideal for use with WHDLOAD.
 
Apart from additional RAM, this card has the special feature of 4MB writeable Flash memory. Software such as ROMs and modules written to this Flash memory will be retained even when the computer is powered down. Software contained inside the Flash memory will be instantly available on power on. Kickstart modules or even full Kickstart images can be written to the Flash memory area using our configuration utility.
 
This card has some special features. Holding down the F1 key whilst resetting the Amiga 1200 will reveal the custom Early Boot Menu. Kickstart configurations created by you can then be easily selected and switched with a few clicks of the mouse. Additionally, the RAM settings can be selected in software without the need for actually moving the jumpers on the board.
 
This feature rich card also reimplements the CD32's Non-Volatile Flash memory in the Amiga 1200! It does so and expands the space to 8x larger. Very useful for WHDLOAD CD32 games.

Memory expansion is installed by slotting it into the trapdoor expansion compartment underneath the computer.
 
Additionally this expansion more than doubles the speed of your system to 2.91 Million Instructions Per Second (MIPS). Optionally, it will accept up to 40Mhz math coprocessor to be installed for speeding up FPU operations (see option below).

The optional Real Time Clock module's on-board battery ensures that the Commodore-Amiga 1200 retains the correct system date and time even when the computer is powered down.
 
An alternative product option is the Real Time Clock and Sensors Module which provides a Real Time Clock and monitors both the temperature and 5 volt level of the motherboard. The software to display this information on your Workbench Screen is available as a download from us. Please Note: there is also an optional external sensor cable to give a secondary temperature sensor. It is available separately (click here).
